Default 15/30 AJ

UTG is 40/14/1.2 and the BB is 16.2/9.4/1.6.

I would check the river if called on the turn (and you don't make a hand of-course). And I would fold if he bets.

if he is calling the turn, the only hand he would fold on the river is AQ. check river unimproved.

Villains range is a lot bigger than AQo. The only real merit I see to betting the river is to prevent being pushed of the best hand by checking.

yeah i know that, what i meant was the only better hand he would likely fold on the river to a bet is AQ.

I think you misunderstood me. He's calling the turn with a lot more than AQo that he would fold to a river bet. A lot of aces, broadway combos and sometimes worse.

jason,

check/folding the river seems like the play if the turn bet doesn't take it down.

i assume you are folding if you get popped on the turn?

i know, but if those hands don't improve they will muck, if they do improve they will pop or at least call the river. thus no point to betting the river as a bluff.

He's also folding a chop (AJ) and honestly, how wide is the range of his hands here?

The river is a very good time for a value bluff if you're called on the turn.
