MG's right. If you have to ask, you shouldn't play the PL game. Stick with the smaller games until you get a feel for the room--some of the game situations in that PL game are pretty bad for a player who doesn't have a scorecard...

I just meant that the guy ought to know who's who before he sits in the game. Especially since some of the players in that game know each other extremely well.

I was trying to make some reference to the guys who try to sell you programs at the ballpark saying "you can't tell the players without a scorecard," but I think I just ended up sounding bizzare... [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I agree with you, BUT I think an important skill is being able to size up people relatively quickly. I didn't know anyone in that game either but after 15 minutes I pretty much knew who was who and sort of what their deal was.

No argument here.

I just think the average person who posts asking about available games might not have a lot of experience using those B+M skills.
