"That doesn't mean I don't think LA dealers are good, in fact I do."

Seems to me the quality is getting worse. There are two bad and two mediocre dealers for every good one. And the dealers are getting more argumentative too. When an error is pointed out, or when a player points out something that isn't an error, seems to me the dealers now fly off the handle much more easily and often than used to be the case.

My experience is limited to L.A. as well.

"he probably finds "Difficult" as difficult to deal with as I and others do."

I'm in the small blind and the pot is passed around so the big blind and me chop. The dealer hadn't taken the one dollar from the blind, so when I took my two $10 chips back he asked for the dollar. The guy on my right actually owed me a dollar and, since I didn't have one at the time, I took a dollar from the stacks of that player on my right, who's a good buddy, who wasn't at the table. Dealer, who knows me, looks at me with his face saying, "Is this OK?" I tell him, don't worry, it's Archie (it wasn't).

He got a terrified look on his face and said:

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

But wait! the $5 whites play, he has declared all-in prior to his bet, so using the 1/2 bet rule he has now RE-OPENED the betting

5$ is only half of 10$.. half bet - no bet.

Using the more or less standard (Ciaffone style) half bet rule it's half or more - IOW a half bet acts like a full bet.

I see. I know many places, that use a rule that half is not a bet. It has to be more than half. Rules differ - unfortunatelly.
