It is always better to take the pot down right there, at least to me, unless you have a monster hand which is rarely drawn out. A top pair is nowhere near that standard.

Sure it is. If Hero is ahead here, Villain is drawing to 2 or 3 outs. I just think another raise needs to be in there somewhere because our hand is so damn strong right now.
