Wow. How long have you been doing that ?
For me anything above 30hours/week is serious strain and after say 4 days of heavy multitabling I usually take at least one day break. I dont know how many hours most frequent players on that forum put. I think that anything over 40hours/week is very hard to mantain and its very hard to show your good game while doing this.
Recently I had first serious tilt problems in my poker life despite having rock solid bankroll (60xbuyins) and running quite well for 40k hands. Ive just put too many hours, get tired, and had enough poker. Maybe its just me but I dont think you can play this game "full time" in 9-17 sense and mantain full balance.

Best wishes

About a year now. When I quit my job to play full time, I told myself that I was going to treat this like my job, to prevent myself from getting lazy and complacent (and besides, I want to (atleast semi-) retire by my early 30s). It's actually not hard for me, I mean if I ever feel like not playing, I don't - but I enjoy playing, so I am usually looking forward to it.

I was trying to crunch some numbers, but I would like to see what everyone thought about it. I was trying to figure how much a good 5-10 NL player could make in a year providing he two or 3 tables them and plays 5-6 hours a day. I was thinking if he could make anywhere from 3BB-5BB an hour, he could be staring at over 100k-150k. Is this realistic or is there something I'm missing...Thanks in advance

[/ QUOTE ]

There are a number of people making 100-150K at the 5-10 level.

Once you get to 200K you're talking about more theory and less practice. Most players just don't put in the hours.

Good luck. I think a strong A game non-tilt player could make 60-70K a year on a GOOD year doing this.

James ran real hot one month. Made 160K. I think more than 70k is easily accomplished.

60-70K? LOL at NL 400 3 months ago I pulled in 22K, and if you count rakeback and bonuses did 25K (yes I was running well) As far as how many hours you could play, I make it about 25 hours a week, anything over that and I just die, LOL, well, get SUPER BORED.

I netted $58,000 last month splitting my time between NL600 and NL1000. A tad of NL2k in there too. I played about 35,000 hands.
