Re: KJo 4-handed
I call based on the fact that I hope he has QT, QJ, KT, JJ, or TT, all with 1 club. The pot seems big enough, and these hands seem plausible enough for you to be good enough of the time.
I do expect to lose most of the time on the river though. |

Re: KJo 4-handed
I agree that NOT betting the turn would be a criminal offense. Once I am raised, I believe calling is correct only to draw to the straight or flush.
Fold the river UI, c/c with the str8, b/c with the flush. |

Re: KJo 4-handed
[ QUOTE ]
I think it's a pretty easy fold. What do you beat? Kx? [/ QUOTE ] An unknown semi bluffs the turn with a J or a club or anything else (Q, TT etc) and then puts a desperate bet on the river after you check. 1 out of 10 times. Is that a science fiction scenario? [ QUOTE ] If he's bluffing, he's an idiot and you'll get his money soon enough. [/ QUOTE ] If he's bluffing then HE is taking your money since you fold. |

Re: KJo 4-handed
[ QUOTE ]
What happens if the river is a T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? With only 3 orbits and no read do you still check-call or bet? [/ QUOTE ] Villain more likely has aces or kings up, so we are not folding this kind of river. So it's check/call or bet/call. I think bet/call probably sucks because we will only get raised by a hand that beats us (i.e. the flush), and it would be a crying call. edit: I bet/call our J-high flush |
