Default AQs, 10-20, I\'m told I suck a whole bunch

10-20 Motor City casino full table

Im the HJ with

A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

PFR is aggressive preflop for this game, probably around 10, but post flop is very easy to see what he has.

2 limps, MP raises, 1 call, Hip calls, Button calls, 1 blind calls, limpers call

Flop (7 players) 15SB

J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

checked to me, I check, Button bets, 3 callers, I call getting like 19-1.

Turn (5 players) 10BB

T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

3 checks, I check, button bets, 2 folds, PFR calls, Hip calls.

Anyone fold this anywhere? The river was nice and easy to play.

You rivered the nut straight? Can't find a fold postflop. Enjoy the money.

Nope, looks pretty straight forward to me. I dont think you can fold the flop getting 19:1 and closing the action. The turn is even easier, closing the action getting 12:1 with 4 outs to the nut straight, and maybe a couple outs for an Ace or Queen.

Why no 3 bet preflop?

I don't see any folds. On the turn you're getting 12 to one which is enough to call with just the gutshot. Just wondering though, how would a pf reraise be here? Any value to that? I'm just thinking you've got a very good hand in position and will probably get the button.

It's a double gutshot. Easy call.

Ace Queen add some Top Pair Good Kicker or Top Pair Top Kicker chances also, although you'd have to be careful if a Queen came because anyone with a nine or AK would then have a straight.

I'd rather 3-bet PF than cold call. I'd also bet when its checked to me on the flop.

Because, I was afraid of the PFR might have me stroked. He's not a raise QTo kinda guy, but he could easily have TT=88 here, so I wasn't folding.

Also, a 3 bet here would get it 2-4 handed, and I was looking to make a huge pot iwth my big suited cards.

Sometimes I do 3 bet here, I just decided not to this time, because of how the game was and taht kinda stuff.

If there were no limps before the raise, I'd be more inclined to three bet and try to get it heads up. With a couple of limps in there already, it seems like it might be good to encourage rather than discourage more. Does that make sense?

This depends on the characteristics of the remaining players. If this is the kind of game where I can get position with my 3-bet AND have both limpers and sometimes the BB call, I think a raise is in order. My default play is probably a limp here, though.

Good eye; I completely missed that.
