Default Should I have seen the Turn with bottom pair here?

Having a problem knowing when to play bottom pair. Usually I just fold it, but it seems that I could be missing on some pots by doing so. What do you all think?

PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
4 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: (3.40 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Button calls, Hero folds.

Turn: (2.70 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 checks, Button checks.

River: (2.70 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 2.70 BB

Nah, that's a good fold in this little pot.

I agree with the posters, the pot is not worth it. Just get out.

The only time I'd think about playing this is if I read MP2 and Button as weak-tight, and then I'd bet out the flop and make that the last money I put in UI. Against typical loose-passives, don't get into a three-way penguin fight over a small fish.

Not to be mean, as i see that you're new, but this acronym guess made me giggle. E.g.,

"I would call a raise on the turn, then check/fold the river unintentionally."

Welcome to the board.

Edit: Oh yeah, i forgot to add: good fold.
