triple draw on pokersource
i'm sure some of you use pokersource, I'll succeeded in compiling it but I have about 0 knowledge in C. However I understand and program quite well in Java.
I thought there was a way to call C functions from Java with the native interface or something. If someone here has done the work or can give me a simple example it would be great. Moreover I dont really know how to figure out what I can do with pokersource and mainly how I can do it. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Re: triple draw on pokersource
There is a way to call C functions. I can't find an example right now, although I've done it in the past.
There is a book online about it here: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/native1.1/ This probably belongs in the 'Software' forum. |

Re: triple draw on pokersource
You are correct, you can call C code with JNI, though I have never done it.
If you want, PM your email and I can send you the poker code I have developed in Java, nothing too fancy but something to work from in the interim. Right now I am working on getting a framework in place that will allow tripple draw agents to play each other. (That's not something I will send you right now since it is not even to the point I would call skeletal yet, but when it is I'll be happy to share.) There is an ace to five tool that may be slightly helpful, but is pretty crude atm (and I have not real plan to go back to it any time soon, I wrote it about a year ago). |

Re: triple draw on pokersource
thanks for the link Mark, I will try to plug that as the pokersource algorithms seems to be very very fast, and all evaluations for TD have been made.
I sent you a PM with my email fnord, I'll have a look at your code |
