Default “Name The Tables” – PartyPoker.com

One of the things that have bothered me for some time is the table names on the site. I hate seeing ‘Table 34534’, and I’m sure a majority of our players would rather see ‘Rum Punch’. I don’t have the time to compile the # of names I need, I have more important things to take care of! I have other means by which to get this information put together, but instead of doing that I had an idea.

I want you guys to name the tables on PartyPoker!

I have $1,000 for 10,000 names. I have certain criteria for the names and will spell that out when I decide what to do.

Here are some possibilities:

$1,000 freeroll
Includes: Everyone that submits 200 ‘useful’ names

I can limit the # of entries (first 200 sent)
I can increase the # of names and/or decrease the # of entries.

Is a $1,000 freeroll attractive enough for 200 names? If not, what #’s are? Any other ideas? I am open to anything.

I did some things like this in the past, and I hope to do more in the future.

I like the ones that have typos (although I haven't seen these as much anymore).

Yeah -- the names should all come from Chinese take out menus.

I wouldn't mind naming a few hundred tables. Scripted names are easier to identify in the lobby.

If you have $1,000 to spend just make it a draw with everybody who submits x amount of names getting 1 entry (1 entry per person). Payout top 5 or whatever. Small value freerolls are not a productive use of my time.

Or if you are can't be arsed to organise it, I'll come up with 10,000 acceptable names myself for a grand.

(When I am multitabling the table names like '31969, and '31966' are easily confused when you are called to a table and want to check out it's avg pot.

Better for Party to tell you on the 'available table' what the average pot is then you don't care what the table name is).

Always be folding

Here's an idea:

Let's get's the lobby issues worked out first before we start renaming tables. Namely:
- real time updates (mine updates every 30 seconds or so).
- Waiting list fix (has this ever worked correctly?)
- Avg. players/flop percentage

Yes, that's the idea and the reason I don't have time to come up with 10,000 names!

Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking the freeroll might be a bad idea. I will wait to see what others think, then decide. If no one else wants the money, I might give you a shot at it.

Make it a promo at the tables. Everytime you get quads you get to name a table.
