Extradition

My personal feeling on extradition is that you should be tried and sentenced in the country you committed the crime. If I rape a girl in China I'll be tried in China. The rest is just [censored] imo.

If Bin Laden happened to be captured by the French foreign legion while taking a siesta in Chad it is my honest opinion he would be handed over quietly and the world at large would never know the difference. The French, Germans, whoever don't want that kind of publicity and certainly don't wish to give their muslim citizens more fat to chew.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Bin Laden is sitting in a cell in some inaccessible place like Diego Garcia and being used to put out occasional propaganda speeches. The specter of him out there alive and plotting the next attack is far more valuable to proponents of the war on terror than the announcement of his death would be - and his martyrdom might inspire the next generation of terrorists.

This just might be the Conspiracy Theory of the Month...

I didn't say the scenario was certain or even likely. I said it would not surprise me. You see, governments lie to people. You don't have to be wearing a tin foil hat to believe that. And since the US today possesses satellites that can take pictures of a gnat on a butterflies ass from 100 miles up it is a bit fishy to me that a guy supposedly hiding in a defined area with few trees, fewer roads and a dialysis machine in tow can't be found.
