Default gut check (goofy hand, low poker content)

villain is a tilting LAG. he's bad in general but he's playing worse since he lost a big pot. trying to win every pot now. raising preflop ~50% of the time. he either pots the flop in raised pots or min bets them. his limp-minreraise actually made him seem weaker because he was opening most pots for $10-$15.

er, so you put him on no A and no pair? Did you somehow happen to win this hand?

i'm sure he expects you to put him all in. But you're calling with less than 2:1 that he has absolutely nothing. No small PP, no piece of the flop, no A. Is this the way to try to take a idiot LAGs stack? Do you like your play here?

i'm sure he expects you to bet.

this is key. he knows there's no way i'm folding if i bet, which i am very likely to do. so for all intents and purposes, a check by him puts me allin.

my pf action means overpair or overcards. he expects me to call with my overpairs and possibly fold my high-card hands.

one pair hands don't want me to do this. 2 pair or better certainly don't want me to do this. hands that are behind my high card hands do.

I agree that if he has something, and has decided to play for his stack, he'd be better checking to you.

However, you said he's a bad player, and on tilt. Has he thought all this through?

and therein lies the gamble. (well, other than the turn and river). i think he's thought something close to this at least 75% of the time.

Laughably horrible, you seriously expect someone to say, 'NICE PLAY!'?

I will also disappoint you. KQo? LOL!

no, i expect someone who takes the time to post in the thread to make a meaningful comment.

mac, while skeptical of the play, was at least willing to discuss the villain's range of hands based on his action.
