Default Gavin Smith

Every Cardplayer update seems to have "Gaivn Smith" as a "superstar of poker" and he has entered nearly every event. Who the crap is Gavin Smith?

I remember him from Poker at the Plaza, he was on the main table during one of the middle broadcasts. Other than that, if Gavin Smith walked into the room wearing a sign that read "I am Gavin Smith", I still wouldn't know him.

He won two events at the Mirage very recently, including the WPT Mirage even, same that Elezra won last year. It's season 4 WPT.

Gavin is a longtime ARGer. Attends many Arg events like BARGE, FARGO etc. Nice guy too.

Well he can't possibly be nearly the caliber of Gavin Griffin. Griffin is so good, I'd consider staking him.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. I just wanted to know because every time I look to see how Gavin is doing, Gavin Smith's name comes up and I get excited and then/ or frusturated.

Had to lookup who Gavin was too the other day. Seems he's fairly well known, especially with the recent WPT win. I like his blog, especially the entries surrounding his WPT win: http://www.gavinlive.com

Didn't he threaten to hunt down Freddie Deep at that Plaza FT?
