Re: nyc housing question
I have a friend in a studio on 22nd and Lex. She pays $1700/month.
You will not find a reasonable studio in Murray Hill for anywhere close (% wise) to $1,000. Start thinking closer to $1,500. If you want to pay $1,000/month, find a roommate and split up a really cheap one-bedroom somewhere. The days of $1,000/month per person in a good location in Manhattan are pretty much gone. To another poster: if you EVER need to walk a mile to a supermarket in NYC, move. You're not living in the right neighborhood. In fact, if you need to walk more than 10 blocks to a supermarket, you should move. |
