50NL Using aggro table image, pushing with bot. set into 2 callers
I had been at this table for maybe 30 hands and was in the finishing process of taking the BB fish's stack which had been over 100. Villain1 had just sat down for one round and saw this aggression, Villain2 had been at the table for around 15-20 hands and his numbers of 35/0/.5 didn't seem subject to change. Knowing I had an aggressive image, I bet out when I hit the bottom set here, and of course I wanted Villain1 to raise with the flush draw or top pair. But since the passive Villain2 cold calls this raise, was it simply donkish to get carried away and push like this? Or is this a money move when the table thinks you are trying to push it around?
The converter didn't really work, so I have edited the output and added some of the table banter, which really adds to the atmosphere of the hand. I still wish I could get the converter to work. Re: 50NL Using aggro table image, pushing with bot. set into 2 callers
You're at 72% against two players, so that's perfectly great. I was in a similar situation today with 65% against two players all-in on the flop, and lost too. The winner at your table was actually at 4%! But that's poker, and this is how we win money in the long run.

come on now silly, this is a bad beat post in disguise...
u got your money in with a set on a draw heavy board, this is a good thing. they sucked out, this is a bad thing. i would work on my board pairing skills in the future. |

Re: 50NL Using aggro table image, pushing with bot. set into 2 callers
I think you're assuming alot about your opponents at this table. What makes you think they're paying the slightest bit of attention to your table image (or anything aside from their own cards)?
Yes, I think your flop push was overzealous (despite getting called by these guys). How silly do you feel if you chase villain 2 out? I didn't see the results. I suggest that you not post the results until after the hand has been thoroughly discussed. Posting this info right away can cause undue focus on the result, rather than the manner in which the hand was played. |

Re: 50NL Using aggro table image, pushing with bot. set into 2 callers
This may have been a bit of a bad beat post in disguise, so for that reason I should have ommitted the horrendous result. But I meant to post this right after Villain 2 called, because a friend and I have been discussing the huge overpush, putting all one's chip's in when it is unnecessary. Of course I want Villain2 to call at 4% to win, but isn't it possible that such a passive player could have a higher set here? That's what I thought he had when he called, and I yelled at myself for getting carried away.
