Default questionable flop play by probable 2+2er

lost my temper tonight and got into it at the tables with a probable 2+2er (if you are reading this - sorry, and no hard feelings)

anyways heres a hand we disagreed on.

2+2er has K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG and raises. 46/26/2.5 3-bets, 63/3/.6 calls in the BB. 2p2er calls.

flop A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checked to UTG who bets, BB calls, 2p2er CECKRAISE?

I think this is a pretty bad raise for obvious reaons. zero chance of winning immediately, not strong enough to raise for value.... he defended his play. am I missing something?

Checkraising gutshots is bad when your opponents have low fold equity

Were you even active in the hand? That's pretty bad etiquette, as you seem to recognize. Certainly, the play looks kind of goofy.

The only thing worse than his checkraise is you teliing him how bad it is. But then again, you know that already and stated such in the first line of your post.
