being a dick? sure its been talked about but more on chopping...
I want to work on live shorthanded more.
so much so that im willing to pay rake to do it. so from now on, i plan on not chopping live at all. is it worth it in terms of the table image of the rest of the table hating me for slowing down the game? being a likely outcast not chopper? etc.? -Barron |

Re: being a dick? sure its been talked about but more on chopping...
Most players don't really care that much. As long as you tell them before hand that you don't chop, they usually don't mind. I usually quit chopping at six handed, and usually no one minds.

[/ QUOTE ] 6-handed or 10-handed, I don't think anyone cares (or should care) as long as you are consistent with chopping or not chopping the entire session. Garland |

I never chop. Nobody has a problem with it. Not chopping is fairly common in higher limit live games where there is a time charge.

Chopping doesn't occur that often...you should get plenty of heads up oppurtunities by defending your blind and steal attempts.
Why not keep the game friendly and chop and have more fun? |

i chop to be social at Canterbury. Although it seems like 60% of the players or more are not chopping anymore so that might change. When I travel (which isnt often) i dont chop.

Re: being a dick? sure its been talked about but more on chopping...
I don't chop anymore (15/30). I used to at 6/12, but the 15/30 game I play in is tighter, and if you chop to both sides you seem to barely be playing a hand. As the others said, no-one seems to care (although they would have done at 6/12!).

I've never seen anyone get upset with someone that says "I don't chop." The only people that everyone gets upset over are the angle shooters that look at their cards before deciding whether they do or don't.
Even if someone gets angry, who cares what some random idiot at a casino thinks anyway? |

From what I can tell . . .
You're kind of an ass already, so I don't see why you would be too concerned with slowing the game up and aggravating others.
