woods shot 66 today. it's over. you pretty much gotta figure ivey to win the whole thing, and even then it could be a push.

No, if he was he would've won a string of tournaments and been in the top5 of a lot of others in the past few years. Whiel Ivey is a great player who does very well, Tiger Woods dominated the game and still does for the most part. Ivey has not done that in poker.

As for the Tiffany Williamson post, yes, she could be the Michelle Wie of poker - somehow doing well even though shes playing way out of her league.

Just to answer this thread's title....NO! Phil Ivey is not the Tiger Woods of poker. Phil Ivey is the Phil Ivey of poker...he's really in a class of his own. Comparing them to each other is a disgrace to both of their phenomenal accomplishments...
