Default Is my turn play correct here?

Thanks in advance for comments / suggestions - I'm having a night where everything seems upside down and i'm questioning everything. Been bad since I got beat by a 4 out that cold called my turn raise

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Someone's probably gonna tell you to raise the flop. Though I like your line. A raise isn't required here because there's nothing much to protect against. If a hand like QT wants to take a stab for a single flop bet I'm more than willing to give them a chance to try for runner runners. Plus with so many low limit blind donks betting out with total garbage I'm more than happy to give them the chance to bet into me on the turn.

As for the turn, hmmm... depends on the player. I think you slowed down at just the right time.

dont slowplay your trips with so many people in the hand. it makes further streets easier to play.

a raise isnt for protection. it would be to try and get money into that pot while you can.

Yes that's true. I suppose the "wait for the turn" play is more of a play you make heads up with a good hand (and position).

But I still don't mind it in this situation, and depending on my read on the SB it can sometimes be more profitable.
