Default was i ok to limp here?

I'm having a bad night and not sure if I'm searching for hands now - this seems to be the best I've seen in an hour, so I thought I'd limp in to see the flop...

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Button calls, BB checks.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB bets, Hero calls, MP2 folds, Button calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, Button calls, BB calls.

River: (9.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.75 BB

is this ok and is raise on the turn ok?

Raise on the turn is a no brainer. You have the nuts?

Preflop is a no brainer. muck.

You need a MUCH better reason to do this. I cannot think of any. Have a look at these guidelines

I fold T9off from every position, unless the game is absolutely perfect, then I'll limp from the button or maybe CO

And I complete the SB with this.

And yes, please raise the turn. You have what's known as the "nuts" so you might want to consider getting bets into the pot.

I am not sure I would play this UTG without a loose passive table, maybe not even then.

FWIW, If I am learning anything you cannot make things happen. You have to be prepared to maximize your profit when they do happen.

He was, at least the house side of the game. His equity was about 28% preflop.
