Default Re: Poker in Montreal...

Best bet is to make a border run and play in the states. The Casino de Montreal wont have its poker room going until next spring, at the earliest. There are at least two private clubs running downtown spreading nothing but NL. They get hijacked on a regular basis, sometimes by the notiously crooked Montreal cops. In case you are not aware, Hells Angels own about half of the city, including most of the best restaurants in the downtown business district, and do not take kindly to people running poker rooms without their involvement. I would skip the local action entirely and make the 40 or so minute drive to the casino on the other side of the river at the Akwesasne reserve.
