What's everyone's play here? I was leaning towards folding, was I right?

i'd prolly fold, but there has to be a more effective way to play as midstack than just folding pps for <10% of ur stack...

i'd limp for set value, but only 7bbs in the small stacks and the large stack will likely just raise me out...i'm kinda asking for big guy to steal those 200 chips

i'd bet to steal the blinds, but again bigstack will just raise me outta the pot

i'd push to steal the blinds, but i don't want big stack calling me and knocking me out

so i'd fold, but, again, there has to be a more effective way to play as midstack than to just fold decent holdings when bb is 10% of ur stack

in this particular game, i think that u fold here and then push a wide range first in pot whenever big guy has already folded before you (when u are button and sb)...but fold whenever big stack comes in or is acting after u (when u are utg like here) except when u have premium holdings

but depending on the bb...if he's not the type to steal from you, then i could see limping or raising here

You seem to hate folding because it's a pair and you have a relatively healthy stack. But there are situations in poker where every decision basically sucks. You just have to figure out what decision sucks the least. In this case, I think folding sucks the least.

It really depends if you think they are calling correctly. If you are pushing 66+,ATs+,AJo+ and they call correctly this is a +1.7% push. If they are a little looser than that

BB - TT+/AQs+/AKo
SB - 66+/ATs+/AJo
BB - 66+/ATs+/AJo

Then this is a +0.8% push.

So depending on how loose your opponents are, I'd say this is a close push.

kyro,

what i was trying to get at is what can we do as midstacks when there is a strong big stack?

in this situation, he has big guy to his left, so he only has 1 hand each time around where he has to act before big...so whenever big folds, he can bully the small stacks

but what about when big guy is immediately to your right? u can only bully when u are bb and big guy folded and a shorty limped in or raised a small amount

there has to be some better way than waiting for premium hands and folding the rest

Because the big stack will probably push with any two and you have to fold.

At this stage, I have a good idea of how my opponents are playing and how I am perceived. I play this depending on game conditions.

Neither pushing nor folding is terrible. If you do the ~600 thing, a good player in the BB will put you to the test quite often.

Particularly if he runs a stop and go on you, you're not going to like too many flops...
