Micro limit sports betting?

I've found the forum therx.com and it seems nice, are there any better ones that you would recommend? I'm looking at getting started in sports betting, college football and basketball probably, maybe a little NFL if I ever get the hang of college. I know that sharpe sports betting is supposedly the bible for NFL betting, should i read it for betting in general? Anyway I'm also looking for a place where I can put small ammounts of real money (5 dollars or less probably) or even a play money site. Do you have any advice on these?

the book sharp sportsbetting is very good. but, it is more the "math" side of handicapping, not necessarily how to handicap. but, it is essential if you are going to take handicapping seriously.

i would recommend the website www.sharpsportsbetting.com . it was started by the author of same book. they have great discussions. i have learned a lot from that site.

some good sportsbooks for small bettors (i am a small bettor also) are: bowmans.com (min. deposit $10, can bet $2 on sides and totals); vipsports.com (min dep. $10 and min bet $5); most other places make one deposit $50, but will still let you bet $5 on a game. when i first started betting on sports, i had to learn about these places because of their low minimums. hope this helps a little.

Intertops has $1 min bets. I haven't seen anything below.

http://fun.asianbookie.com/ is a world soccer betting site where you can bet with fake money (upto $50,000!). If you come out in top 3 or so, they give real money prizes.
I think I saw something similar on intertops (or one of its sis sites).

With "play" money, you don't even need an "account".
Just go to one of the offshore books or Sportsnetwork.com and get the lines and log your selections. Pretty soon you'll be betting real money.
