could you tell us more about the way he said it? Was he nervous, was he calm and relaxed, did it seem like he was trying to look calm and relaxed? If he was calm, I think hes telling the truth and id call. Id probably call just based on the strength of my hand alone, but wtv. Also, I may be way off, and if someone who is better at tells than me comes along, plz feel free to correct.

Looks like a clear call based on the strength of the hand, plus his raise to $200 looks like it doesn't want action, it wants folds.
When people say things like "if you have kings you should call", more often than not they're telling the truth. If he had aces, he would be afraid that saying something like that might induce a fold. However, if you find yourself confused by the table talk, the best thing is just to ignore it, pretend it didn't happen, and evaluate just based on size of bets. |
