Default ten dumbest poker players

i have yet do put the list together but i am currious about what people would consider to be the least intelligent yet most successful players out there. phil hellmuth would have to be on the list maybe doyle. im talking about book smarts obviously dutch boyd is very smart unless he is making life decisions then he seems a little slow

I don't understand your point. Least intelligent? You mention Hellmuth and Doyle. Both attended college. Doyle graduated almost 50 years ago and has enough "street smarts" to outwit most anybody he meets, not to mention the degree. What was your point again?

that is my whole point everyone is talking about who graduated with a phd here and there yada yada yada my point is that there are a lot of guys that didnt that arent about to be chess champions that are poker champions hellmuth and doyle are a couple of my favorites. i think that hellmuth dropped out im not sure though. i think it is funny how everyone thinks that you have to go to college to be smart i met tons of idiots there who thought that they were smart because they were there. im currious also how many top players have phds

yep...after all, if the point behind everything studied is increasing the amount of money you make through poker, then hellmuth has to be near the top if you count licensing and other money making schemes

i think my post was misunderstood i was not trying to pile on phil hellmuth or doyle brunson. i think that they are smart in different ways than most people consider.

This is a moronic thread. Considering hardly anybody here has played with these professional players, we can hardly judge them. If you're going to base your assessments of players via ESPN or WPT coverage, I guess you're the dumb one.

Since you apparently know, how many millions does Phil Hellmuth have?

You doubt that Hellmuth has $1,000,000+ in the bank?
