Pokerroom Aces Hand
Playing $4-$4 on poker room on a ten handed table
Stacks me $440 sb $200 bb $300 I pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] under the gun and make it $15 to go. Everyone folds and the sb calls and the big blind makes it $30 which is a min raise. I think for a second and make it $100. Good amount or should i play it differently? |

Re: Pokerroom Aces Hand
You've just firmly labeled your hand as AA...you aren't getting any more action after this unless you are behind. I would have just called, hoped for a raggedy flop and i'd hope to punish KK or something similar post flop.

Re: Pokerroom Aces Hand
I was thinking of doing this but i happen to hate pussy min raises and although this player didn't know this i sometimes punish them by rerasing with a lesser hand than aces. What about raising say $150 or just pushing?

Re: Pokerroom Aces Hand
between 100 and 150 is fine.
if he calls, his remaining stack is about potsize on the flop. |

Re: Pokerroom Aces Hand
If you think he'll call any of these there isn't much wrong with it, as the money going in on the flop is just routine after that. I'd fold to your reraise though unless i had QQ or KK, and I might fold those. His reraise doesn't seem like a strong enough hand to call $150 unless he always minraises....if I had KK or QQ i'd have made it about 60 to go and then your reraise would let me know for sure what you had.....as it is, I think everyone folded and you won a decent although smallish pot with your aces.
