When is a big pot considered big?
I was just wondering this... when you are in a big pot with Ace high... when is it worth calling the last river bet? how much return do you need to be getting with your money, minus reads, in order to call a river bet? if this is too difficult to answer, thats fine.

Re: When is a big pot considered big?
This is pointless without reads...think of an example and we'll go from there

Re: When is a big pot considered big?
Think of it in terms of odds.
Assuming it's heads up: If there are 20BB in the pot and costs you 1BB to call you need to be around 95% certain you are beaten to fold. You can virtually never be this certain. If the pot is 10BB you need to be ~90% certain. If 3BB you need to be 75% certain to warrant a fold. You should pretty much never overcall with ace high. |

Re: When is a big pot considered big?
Ace high is good in a 20BB pot that didn't include maniacs about 1% of the time
