Default DC to AC

I live in DC and I am thinking of heading out to AC for the first time ever in the next few weeks. Unfortunatly I do not have a car, is it possible/practical to get there using public transportation? Does anybody have experiance with this?

Default Re: DC to AC

Best Method (though most expensive)
-Take Amtrak from DC-Phila (go to www.amtrak.com for schedules, they leave frequently)--depends when you leave (btwn 40 and 50 bucks each way...10% AAA discount available)
-Hop on an NJ Transit Train in Phila to get to AC (takes about 1 hr, 15 mins)...check www.njtransit.com for schedules (you can time it so there is minimal to no wait time in Phila)--$6.60 (buy tix at credit card machines)
-Once in AC, take free shuttles to casino of your choice (or opt for an $8 cab ride).

Cheap Way (but pretty terrible if you ask me)
-Go to Union Station Bus Terminal (few blocks from Union Station)...check www.greyhound.com for times
-Make sure you get a bus that DOES NOT go through phila...typically they stop at Silver Spring, Downtown Baltimore, Baltimore Travel Plaza and Atlantic City
-Trip takes about 4 hrs, 45 mins..seats are uncomfortable, bathroom is terrible, busses are frequently late and travel times vary (could be well over 5 hrs w/ heavy traffic)
-This is the cheapest way to get there (37 RT, you get 17 back when you get to casino). But you get what you pay for...also, return times are VERY limited
