Default Interesting hand

4/8 Commerce

I don't remember the hand exactly but It's worth a post.

Dealt to bellzz

A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

About six limpers to me in the CO and I raise. All call.

flop..

9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Well this certainly is a nice flop for me.

UTG bets a bunch of callers and I raise. All call

Turn is A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Oh hell ya... QUADS.

UTG bets. raise.. couple of callers.. I re-raise UTG caps. Everyone else folds.

River is small card.

UTG checks, I bet, UTG calls.

UTG turns over QQ.

The table went absolutely wild! I didn't realize what happened at first. People said "NICE KICKER!"

I was like "huh?"

Bad Beat Jackpot!

OH YEAH!

Nothing like winning a $200+ pot but getting a share of the $5k Bad Beat Jackpot to boot.

Anyway...All in all it was a nice night for me.

So...here's my question... what do you tip the dealer after a $200+ pot and a 1K jackpot?

I believe that I was a bit stingy and I don't think the rest of the table liked it.

Thanks,

Bellzz

I'm going to a B&M casino soon, I wanna know what's a typical tip for a regular pot as well as a nice bonus like that. $5k, howd it get split up? nice!

I had a bad beat share once, and I had the same question, so I asked the floor, and this is what was said: The proper tip is 10% to the dealer, 5% to security, and 5% to the cage. But I think only one other person besides me tipped anyone but the dealer. Pretty much everyone gave 10% to the dealer though.

Nice hand!

That almost qualifies for the ridiculous Quote of the Day!

P.S. Did Hero's hand qualify for the Jackpot only because his J was higher than the 9 on the board?

I believe so. If I would have had...say a 7 I think I would have just won the pot and that would be the end of it.

The Jackpot was $5000 and it was split up 60%/20%/20%. 60% to the loser, 20% to the winner and 20% to the remaining players at the table.

Default I\'m a stingy bahstahd!

Ok...I tipped 1% to the dealer.. and 1% to floorman that escorted me to the cage and 1% to the cage. For a total of 3%=$30.

Am I a stingy bahstahd or what? I proceeded to cash out my chips and left happy. The girl sitting to my right said I should tip the dealer $100! THAT 10% wtf.

Am I going to be let back in next time I go there?

What do other people tip each person for a 1k jackpot?

Normally I tip $1 for ANY size pot. No more..no less.. very consistant. AND the dealer kept pressuring me a few hands earlier while I was thinking during a hand because she though I was asleep (I had sunglasses on). I thought my tips were fine.

Unfortunately I don't know what the guy who won the 3k tipped the dealer. We both packed up right after we got our money.

btw... am I going to get a 1099 from Commerce this year?

Thanx,

Bellzz

I think this tip in a 4/8 game might be a bit on the low side. But then again, I don't play live too much.

A $1 tip in a 4/8 game is perfectly acceptable.
