Thanks. Obviously people don't like to tell what they're making for the most part, but it's nice to get a general idea. As the OP said, it clearly depends on what room you work at and where it is. In general, do you make more as a dealer, a waiter at a reasonably nice restaraunt, or a bartender? All of them basically make minimum wage and their true wages come from tips...

I would imagine most dealers wouldn't want to tell how much they make because they actually do make pretty good money and they fear their tips would suffer if people knew just how much they make. That's not to say they're living it up, but I think they make more than they let on.

I had an day 1'er on graveyard at foxwoods tell me she made about $30-35/hr.

Ah..not too shabby...Anyone know if any of the casinos around Chicago have cardrooms? Maybe I could get a summer job...
