Why? Cause you have the best hand but draws are out there but one or more of the donks might come along.

Letting a free card get off on that board with a set is dumb. Folding a set on the turn is "Tommy-Reed" like, and you don't want to go there.

Considering pot size, yeah, I shove this.

Yeah, you gotta push this. You probably get everyone to fold, because CO can be betting any two to steal there after all the weakness. Though I don't think that's particularly likely with the draws.

Anyway yeah, when you're called it's usually by an 8 or just a flush draw. You're like never ever behind.

I'll elaborate a bit on that I guess..nobody with a bigger set is checking it twice, that'd be retarded. They need to protect their hand as well as try to get some value from draws. Same goes for a flopped straight...though a bit less so since it's only afraid of one draw. Thus the only player who could conceivably have a better hand than you is CO...but you can't be scared of oversets or straights, you'll end up laying down the best hand way more often than not.

I would probably make it 450, then push the river. If a scare card falls and he pushes the river I'm calling. I know 450 makes it obvious we have a hand, but they call anyway.

i min raised to 300. i wanted to string the co along for some more chips. but now that i think of it, if he was on a draw (straight/flush), i'm not pricing him out. (Mental note: always protect my hand.)

mp3 calls it, and co calls. ok, mp3 worries me.

river = red 8, so if someone had the 6 or J, they just made their gut shot.

mp3 bets out 100chips. co folds. oh boy... i'm thinking flopped straight and he's value betting since i'll be too scared to bet with 4 cards to a straight on the table.

but for 100 chips into this huge pot i call, and he turns over 7J clubs. ARRGGG... this idiot check/cold called a raise to a 3/4pot bet with bottom pair and a gut shot?! sigh.. made a note on him, and moved on...
