Default Pokercoach

I have this friend who is considering to get a pokercoach to dramatically improve his online small stakes limit hold'em game. It has to be online coaching since he doesn't live in the USA. What's out there? Does it work? Is it expensive?

Information and opinions are very much appreciated!

It depends on who you want as a coach. You might try Bob Ciaffone. He's not a hands-on, sit-at-the-table with you coach, but he will consult on your game at a very reasonable rate. Do a google search on him for contact information.

Tommy Angelo coaches, and as I recall he's much more hands-on. He's at tommyangelo.com, I believe.

Regards,

T

Thank you, I will look into that.

Anyone else? Any other information and/or opinions? Or may this not be the best forum to ask?

I'm very satisfied with the advice he gives, but because of his good advice and cheap prices his turnaround time is not great. I think your friend will have better luck with a sweat hour from Joe Tall than a hand history review.

Thank you to you both for some feedback. I've send Joe Tall an email.

It takes about 2 weeks for him to get back to you after submitting your hand histories, but it's not that big a deal.

Default I\'ve used Ciaffone

And can't recommend him unless you play the games he does. He is way out of touch with the nature of online limit play vs. live limit play. E.g., When I was a live 5/10 player he recommended starting at 5/10 Party. That was expensive advice for me to follow.
