J9? T8? KXs? AK? KQ? I'm admittedly bad about folding hands on the river, but this doesn't seem like a good candidate. Though, he seems passive, you don't have a lot of stats on him and you have top pair.

I'd call out of curiosity, even if we're never good. But I'm the showdown king- I think especially with few hands on him...let's see what he's got.

I fold here. You can only beat a bluff and there is so much that beats you. This is one of my "fold, but I am keeping an eye on you" type hands. I would watch him carefully after this to see how often he is raising the turn or river and with what.

Tough fold here, how big does the pot need to be before making this call? 5.5bb is pretty small obviously.

i don't see how this is tough.
the pot is small, the villain is on the passive side, and the 8 is not an obvious card to bluff on.
if hero wasn't being trapped the whole way, villain just made a ragged two pair.

I've seen more than one dingbat raising a big street with TP very crappy kicker. Without a read, I call this the first time to see is Villian is one of them. Chances are your fold was OK though, especially if you haven't seen him doing anything whacky yet,
