Default Vegas or Europe?

My 21st birthday is on December 31st (aka New Years Eve), and I recently found out that my parents are willing to get me a real nice gift. Given the fact that my dad offered to get me a laptop, I'd say they'd be willing to spend up to 1500 bucks er so (ya i know, I was really surprised to hear this).

I've never been to Europe or Las Vegas and would really like to go to both.

The Dilemna: I can't afford to go to Europe with solely my own money (I need to save some of it for future loans, everyday stuff n such), and so having my parents buy me the plane tickets and pay for some other expenses would be extremely helpful. However, having an almost all-expense paid trip (to Las Vegas) would be amazing; it would obviously be a very memorable birthday. So, if I choose Vegas, then I won't be able to go to Europe for a very long time (who knows when I'll get like a 3 week time block + lots of money to set aside).

The way I see it:

Las Vegas Pros:
-I've played online poker for about 1.5 years, but have never really played live before (ie- once in a while I'll play with a few buddies). So, to play live in a Casino would be real cool.
-To be there on my 21st birthday and New Years Eve would prolly be a ton more fun than going to some bar in Chicago.
-I could stay at a fancy lad hotel for a couple of nights like the Bellagio or Wynn (normally I just stay at average ones like a Mariott).
-Going to a strip club is on my list of things to do.
-Obviously there'd be tons of hot girls, some with fake boobs, which I've never touched...so that could be interesting.

The Cons:
-I'd only be able to be w/ a couple of buddies.
-I hear shots are real fukin expensive there, which could add up hugely over the weekend (especially if I buy girls them in addition to my own). I'd want to spend lotsa money at nice restaurants, not necessarily extremely inflated prices on alcohol.

Europe:
I mean, there's a ton of stuff I'd wanna see/experience. I'd especially really want to go to Spain. The only downside is how much money it'll cost; I cant see any downsides to visiting many of the countries I’ve always wanted to see.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? What do you think you'd choose, if given the choice? Thanks in advance...

--I just realized upon re-reading this that it might not be apparent that my trip to Europe would be in the summer. It would be right after I take the LSAT, which is also a big bonus (that'd be a fun thing to look forward to).

Europe, you'll have the opportunity to go to vegas sooner and you don't need to be there for as long.

Blue,

From what I hear, if done right, a trip to Europe can be remarkably cheap. I wouldn't say the same thing about Vegas.

Welcome to the winning team. Quickreply is obviously the best thing ever.

agreed, plus I prolly won't make nearly as much money there as i make online. playing live, in itself, will be awesome since i never do it. i'm curious to see if i can pick up on people's betting patterns n such like i can online (which i won't go into since this is a non-poker content forum).

Blue,

I'm 31 and I've been to vegas about 10 times and Europe 0. You'll find plenty of time for Vegas in the upcoming years.
