Default Lost with TP

Villian is unknown, just sat down at the table. Does anyone pick a different play on the flop, or does anyone fold at any point, and did I miss a value bet on the river?

FTP $5/$10 6-max, 6 handed
Hero is UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero raises, MP folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB 3-bets, BB folds, Hero calls, CO calls.

Flop (10 SB): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
SB bets, Hero raises, CO folds, SB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn (8 BB): K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB bets, Hero calls.

River (10 BB): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB checks, Hero checks.

How badly did I play this?

I'd probably just call down from the flop onwards, since lots of the time you will see a better ace here.

On the river, it looks like he either tried to c/r you or you are beating his PP.

Hey d10,

This is the classic WA/WB situation. In many cases we would be concerned with protecting our hand from the third player...

however, this board is so drawless that there are virtually no hands that he would CC with that have more than 2-3 outs, 5 on the highest side, so we should be mostly concerned with making sure 1 bet goes in on each street against the SB who is likely on a big pair or a big ace.

Edit: given your line I fold the turn. If I don't fold the turn then I bet the river, and fold to a c/r.

These plays are pretty much impossible to get correct without reads. I think this isn't bad.

This is kind of silly.

Why do you think a flop raise is acceptable given the likely hand range of a SB 3bettor given the action this far?

Flat call the flop. On a two-tone board I might raise this flop.
