Default Call this river with 88?

No reads on anyone.

I'd like to get a concensus on what everyone would do on the river. If you don't like the turn call let me know too.

Fold the turn. Since you didn't, call the river and hope for a semibluff.

i guess it depends on what you thought he had on the flop. anyone check behind on that turn and call the river?

explain why you would consider not betting the turn on such a board after the flop action.

I think the turn is the decision point. If I'm calling the turn, I'm calling a non-heart river.

I don't know the cryptos at all...is Villain likely sophisticated enough to check-raise a semibluff or even a stone bluff? If I'm playing .50/1 at Party I probably fold here.

But if Villain is known to be tricky I call down.

Hero has only played 10 hands at this table and villain is unknown previously. This is the only hand Villain has played so far.

I really don't like giving a free card to any 9, T, J, Q, K, A, or [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] out there.

Yeah the river is an auto call. Calling the turn check/raise and folding the river UI is terrible poker. Calling the turn check/raise and river bet is questionable poker but nowhere near as bad as if you fold on this river card.

I would fold to the turn check/raise.
