They have updated the Rake section of their software's Help. It states that the max rake is equal to 1 big blind but your table has the rake at $3 per hand at pot size $48+.

But how does it apply to the 3/6 and 5/10 Is it still as bad? Also note that rakeback deals can go as high as 40% here too which will effect your overall rate. I hope that was not taboo

from datamining and I have learned over time that the average player at Party pays ~2.44bb/100 or $9.76 per 100 hands in rake at $2-4 LHE -dont forget this is from a sample with 30K players so that includes alot of losers that play too many hands

how does that fit in to your data owl? nice job

[/ QUOTE ]

In reality a 10 seat table usually gets around 9 people.

At 9 people the average pokerroom player will lose 3.41bb/100

Pokerroom @ 40% Rakeback vs. Party @ 25% Rakeback

Pokerroom still has a 31% higher rake paid!

For an inferior site to Party it does not make sense.

What really gets me is how they structured their rake to mess with the bonus clearing.

I've watched some tables, and 1/2 to 3/6 are ridiculous now. This was obviously calculated to get the most out of people while trying to fly below the radar. Just observe, the typical fairly tight table at these levels alot of times end up in two situations: either someone takes it down on the flop, and the pot is, "coinicidentally", big enough to rake in almost %8, or a couple people go to showdown, ending up with a pot just big enough to score the maximum rake, which is near %8. Jopke.

Why not just set it up as it really is: For every 12 cents in the pot 1 cent goes to rake, or for every 50 cents, 4 cents go to rake? Straight 8% too blatant?

I guess screwing people out of pokerpoints is a bonus, too.

Can you also add the calculations for $2/$4 on PokerStars?

Thanks for the post. Could someone do a similar analysis for 3/6 and 5/10? It seems to me the impact at those limits won't be as great, but I would love to know the extent of the impact.

I find the games at pokerroom alot softer though. Plus i can also open up as many tables as I want. I must explore the 3/6 and 5/10 to see how much I loose compare to playing at Party skin. I find the 5/10's at pokerroom to be equal to calibre of 2/4 at party
