Boy, that pot is laying you like 8:1 odds. Plus you have the 2nd nut flush draw. I think I call the turn bet. I think by calling the turn I'd be commiting myself to check/calling the river, too.
Without a good read, I think I'd be in crying call mode here. I might be in the minority, though. |

Don't fold. You have top pair good kicker + the second nut flush draw.

I think I would have called the turn and looked for the flush or a K or Q. Also, I think raising preflop could have scared him off if he is as solid as you say. Playing a flush draw to 2 bets isn't as likely for a strong player. Also, it gives the impression of strength and may have made him call you on the turn.
