Default Whats happened to DeNiro?

Godfather II,Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, The Untouchables, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino

TO
Analyse this, analyse that, meet the parents, meet the fockers, showtime, the score, 15 minutes, men of honor.

I think he's going through the motions

Will we ever see another great DeNiro film again?

Maybe he got tired of doing variations on the same characer?

It seems obvious he wants to do comedy now.

I'm not suggesting he does more gangster films just something a little more challenging. I don't think he's extending himself at all. Some of the parts he's taking he could play standing on his head.

compared to the others, it was crap. I saw it in the theaters, people were laughing at his dialog in places that weren't funny. Not a good sign.

Analyze this was OK. Analyze That was less than OK. The Score was boring but I thought he was fine in it. MTP is hilarious. Showtime was stupid. I didn't really understand 15 Minutes but it was nothing special.
