Default Vegas coupons

I'm going to Vegas in August with a bunch of EV fans (read: cheap-bastards), who all get a kick out of free drinks/gambling/etc. For instance, we'd never play craps normally (Minus EV!) but we'll happily walk all the way to the Tropicana for the $5 match coupon.

My question is: Are all of the coupon books for sale online total rip-offs? I don't want to pay $25 for coupons that are printable elsewhere. I know about stopping at the individual casinos to see what they offer, but what about these collections of all-vegas coupons?

I found one empty thread on coupon books in vegas, but there's gotta be more.

Anybody have any experience with these? Thanks for your help.
-Sam

The only coupon type thing that is even worth it, and is an excellent value is the one you get at www.lasvegasadvisor.com. You also get a membership to their private forums with lots of info on gambling/casinos and whatnot.

There are lots of decent matchplay coupons available for free at the casinos if you ask at the players club desks. Ones that jump out from my memory right now are at Circus Circus, Sahara, Four Queens, Terribles, Aladdin, Plaza, Lady Luck, Riviera.

10$ free slotplay is commonplace along with some $5 matchplay coupons at various table games. Circus Circus had a good one for non-negotiable chips.

Avoid the 60$ of slotplay for 20$ type coupons as they are often on special machines where you win points that can be traded in for merchandise and not actual cash.

Whatever dude! My new goal is to get you drunk enough to play craps with me....maybe I can even convince you that it's plus EV to play $2 craps considering that we get all the free drinks we want!!!

I would highly recommend the LVA coupon book. If you use the one coupon for 50% off - up to 50 bucks - you get your value's worth right there.

Plus, they have quite a few matchplays that make it worthwhile. The 2 for 1 buffets (especially at Main Street) are great.

$2? Why so much? Jokers Wild and the Eldorado have $1 craps with 10x odds that use .25 chips for full exact payoffs. Bet $5 odds on the 5/9 and get paid 7.50, not 7. Definately a magoo game. Those casinos are small and the drinks come FAST!

Entertainment book is only $9.95 right now and filled with great food coupons.
LVA (Las Vegas Advisor) POV (Pocket Book of Values) is an excellent choice at $37 (internet subscription) as it has gaming coupons as well as very strong food and hotel coupons.

Ha ha ha, I was wondering if you were going to say something like that. I was actually thinking the same thing.

The first time I was in Vegas, I consumed gin+tonics at roughly the rate that the space shuttle consumes fuel.

Middle-aged women who like younger men are also +EV. I can elaborate later, but I think you already know about this.

Jokers Wild is on Boulder Highway in Henderson and Eldorado is on Water St. in Henderson. Both are non hotel, 6 or 7 table games, buffet, cafe, slots, and that's pretty much it. Just gambling halls, that's all.

www.casinocity.com search the "United States Casino directory" > "Nevada" > "henderson"

From the strip, you would take I15 south to I215 East till it ends at 95/I515. Follow Lake Mead till Boulder Hghwy, turn left and Jokes is about 1/2 mile up the road on the right.

For Eldorado, Turn right onto Water St. from Lake Mead and it's about 3 blocks up on the right.
