Default Current Black Jack Conditions

This is a continuation on a previous post asking if we can beat the CSM machines that are everywhere in Vegas these days.

Yes, we can beat the machines by taking crow bars to them and smashing them to pieces.

I was at the Bellagio last week, on a weekday evening: every single damn BlackJack table had this machine, but worst of all....all the tables were full. We have to inform people playing 6:5 single deck and CSM machines that they are being cheated out of the true game. At the same time, complain to the floor people and management. Tell them you want an old fashioned Black Jack game!

Best game I came across is the Mirage 2 Deck, $25 + minimum bets.

If you look carefully, you can find a half decent BJ game at a casino on a single table or two. But everything changes so quickly, you have to do a lot of scouting.

I got ultra pissed at the Hilton where I was winning at a two deck handheld game. When I was up $700 after green chipping for a while, the dealer subtely changed the penetration to 25%!!!! All the time smiling and talking.

Wouldn't a "subtle" change in penetration to 25% last one shuffle before you noticed?

Didn't know about the change at the Bellagio to all CSM. Are you sure?

It shouldn't really matter anyways, Bellagio used computer tracking, facial recognition, and a lot of other counter-measures. They aren't shy about flyering your face all over town either.

Have you checked out Wynn's new joint yet?

The Plaza has the only real double deck game left in town. They DONT hit soft 17 like every single other casino in this city. Double after splits, approx 70% penetration, $5 - $1000 limits.

I noticed it after the shuffle when she slipped in the plastic reshuffle indicator. I only would have gotten about 25 cards from a 104 card deck. Of course, I took my money and left. I was playing heads up, so it probably would not have happened if the table was full.

As far as the Wynn, there were some 6 deck shoe games, but these were at high stakes, hit 17 rules. There were also lots of CSM machines there too, and the 6:5 games. The thing is, the casinos are changing the structures of the games depending on attendence. I walked into the Bellagio and sat down at a 6 deck shoe game, at around 5:30 on a weekday afternoon. I saw a few different shoe games going on at the different pits, the rest were machines. But when I got up from the game just after 7:00pm, every single table had a CSM machine except mine! It was like attack of the robots. I went to every single pit to check things out, and it was all the same.

Card counters have to scout during odd hours on the Strip to find a half decent game.

Thanks for the tip. The same rules apply at the Mirage, only it is a $25 minimum to $10,000 maximum. Plus one can take advantage of the famous poker room right beside the BJ pit.

I think you will find bj "conditions" at the Plaza better than the Mirage. Although this could change, they are undergoing another change in ownership.

Stop by the Gambler's Book Store in Vegas next trip. Pick up a copy of "Current BlackJack News". A monthly review of bj conditions at all the casinos. The few dollars spent saves a lot in shoe leather.

Look guys, I studied card counting and took the casinos for some cash with the KO and high/low counting methods, but its hard to find good games. Thats when I turned to poker. You can play online whenever the hell you want, play 4 tables and the bankroll requirements are so much less.
To spread $5-60 you should have ~5K, with a 5K roll you can play 200NL poker. Plus you don't have to worry about pit critters.
I love Blackjack, but RIP - the golden days seem to be gone.
Unless you live in Vegas, most people only have a handful of local casinos and you can't expect to get many hours in.

It's true, Poker is the way to go for the money. But I still like Black Jack to get lots of comps and basically free vacations. Besides, sometimes one needs a break from Poker, and the continuous action of Black Jack satisfies this for me until I am recharged and can hit the poker room or internet again.

75% Poker, 25% Black Jack is the way I go.

The Mirage game and the Plaza game do not. The rest do.
