I say call, and call again on the river. I think you're usually ahead here, but he probably has a 7, and 78 is possible.

while we're at it, why don't we put villian on quads? By the way, any reads on villian? What kind've stuff does he bet out?

Villian could be betting out flush draw, str8 draw, a pocket pair, maybe trips.

One line is to raise him 3x and see how he responds. If you get reraised, you're probably beat. If he just calls, I would think draw or weak trips.

Calling down is ok if villian is passive / rockish. Heck, you may induce bluffs occassionally

I had no reads since i was new to the table. Being that is was a huge multiway min-raised pot, i wasnt putting anything out of the question. But, there sure is no way they can put me on 45o .

i'm calling here and raising the river, expecting to showdown against probably trips. i'd bet he wanted to checkraise the flop and regrets giving another card so now he's making up for it with the big bet. i think a turn raise here spooks them and you'll win less than letting them bet the river then putting in a callable raise there.
