Default Stock Market Games???

First I'd like to say hello to all....I'm new as of today...I'm from Canada....I like on line gaming and generally taking small risks for good gains...

My stock picks have proven to be slow with very little room for profit ......

However.......

I am trying out the virtual stock market games....and have had much better luck...eg...280.00 investment on May5/05 (with aspiritus)has given me a nice profit. Topped out at 4200.00 euros (portfolio value)and has found it's bottom lately at 2300.00 euros...not too bad...too good to be true? perhaps.....but I'll ride it out and see where it takes me.

I hope to gain some advice from some of you here so please let me know what's working for you and I will do my best to pass anything that looks promising back to you...

Glad to be here...

Since you are not playing with real money you need to play for long shots. Look for small companies near bankrupcy.

I know 280 euros doesn't seem like a lot....but sometimes it doesn't take much to get a good return....no big risk....

Some sites that you can use are marketocracy.com, stockquest.com, youngmoney.com Currently I use marketocracy to manage a mutual fund but they give you a million dollars which is more or less unrealistic.

Right on michiganfan9.....thank you,

I've e-mailed marketocracy as I think they may be able to track and compass us members so we can make better decisions on our buy and sell orders...Plus it looks like they will also set up a forum for member strategies...We'll see what they say when they write back. I think they're going freak when they see the gains over the last few weeks.I've never seen anything move this quick before.

Thanks again

Good stuff

I think it's really great that you are still very young and already looking into these finacial opportunities...

You are ahead of your time....keep up the great work.

You know, the way I look at money.....it's basically a tool...

It's really a game and when you're smart....and have a discerning mind, and you start young, your chances of a great life are pretty good. You must have great parents to teach you that kind of disipline.

If there's anything you could pass onto me in the form of good finacial advice...I'm all ears.

What kind of ventures are you involved with right now? Are they working out for you?

I wish that my parents were brokers to help give me a lot of advice but i have had to almost find out everything myself. I am currently reading many books about Warren Buffett and am using his checklist, I tried to setup a hyperlink but the page is no longer there. it was really good though. Simply put its finding quality stocks that are currently undervalued. They have had a history of goods sales and revenue with not too much competition. They simply produce products that are constantly in need.
