Default Donk vs donk

Hmm, didn't feel too good about this one. This guy is a total donk, about 90/30/1.35 over ~400 hands, and I think I played like one on this hand. Anyways, what does everyone think of this line against him? Obviously rivering an ace helps, but should I have checked behind on the turn and gotten this card for free, risking a free card however since I am often ahead? And once I'm check raised, should I have tossed the hand or called looking to pair one of my cards? If I had checked, I would obviously call a bet on the end, right? Oh, and I should have raised the flop too, right? God, I feel like I absolutely butchered the flop and turn on this hand.

Why not check behind on the turn? I'd like to see a cheap showdown here, and a donk isnt going to fold.

It's fine. Folding unimproved Ace high HU against a maniac is a mistake.

Because the donk usually has 6 outs to river a pair and giving a free card can be a disaster in a 5+ BB pot.

Free card? We're the ones who need the free card, we haven't got a hand yet.

Read the description before the hand action. Villain is 90/30/1. He rarely has a hand either.

Rarely yes, but I am not sure if our A high has an equity edge against a semi-random hand on the turn. On the flop, by all means go nuts, but I'd really like to check the turn for that reason.

I really like a turn check here. Assuming we're going to showdown, a turn check can help induce a bluff on the river. Moreover, getting c/red here sucks. Also, I like a free card with A high. Dunno about you.

Do you know what you're talking about? If Ace high is the best hand we have a huge equity edge on that board and giving a free card is a disaster. Everyone I say is based upon the villain's stats (90/30/1) which basically means he has any 2 cards here.

He's probably not folding so spraying unimproved HU on the flop is just dumb.
