Default Outhinking opponent or myself? Weird AK hand

5/10 on pokerstars. I dont know if it is in good taste to reveal my opponents name, but he is an aggressive high stakes player. Almost every round for the past hour, I have raised his BB on my button at every single possible opportunity, so I thought he was getting ready to play back at me. He also might have been a little aggrivated

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (8 handed) converter

MP1 ($1042.50)
MP2 ($1420.85)
CO ($489.75)
Hero ($1093.75)
SB ($949.50)
BB ($1476.65)
UTG ($1181.80)
UTG+1 ($1025)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
5 folds, Hero raises to $30, 1 fold, BB raises to $150, Hero raises to $470, BB calls $320.

Flop: ($945) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($945) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $1006.65 (All-In), Hero calls ?

I planned on folding to push pf... smart?

Check on flop was easy I thought....

Am I crazy?

The flop check is the worst part of the hand by far.... you already got about 1/2 your stack in with AK... get the other 1/2 in on the flop so he can't catch that cheap jack. Wow.. the play is just horrendous - checking behind... WTF

hmm I disagree, either this guy has AA-QQ, or has total [censored]. Why not let him bluff? This is a way ahead way behind type of check I think.

I think he is pushing back PF beacuse he has a hand this time, Although I think you need to put a feeler bet out there its really hard to do with out being able to fold with alot of your chips in there, A pot sized bet is to much, half is a call me and a $200 dollar bet is Im gonna suck every morsel out of you, I might throw out 200 on the flop, if he raises your bet if he calls, Your really really beat.

the way the action has gone on the flop, i don't think the villain will be fooled into bluffing that kind of a board. if he does indeed have AA-QQ, it seems that your money is going in there anyway, so it doesn't matter if you're way behind, you're paying him off.

if you're way ahead, villain could still have possibly 2-6 outs, if he has JJ/AQ/TT etc. why give your opponent a free card, when he could pay you off, especially if he has said AQ?

in summary, the pot is huge, not a lot of cards can come that improves his hand and keeps you ahead, and no one's going to bluff that board based on pf action. this calls for a bet, i'd say a push is fine.

[/ QUOTE ] Reraising to 150 here when im on any two pf here is the best way to get no action.... Maybe he knows that I think that and is 1 step ahead of me though

Once you make it $470 preflop, villain is not calling you without a premium hand.

After the turn, you lose to every other premium hand.

I really dont get the flop check. Having nothing COULD include a jack...so...and if you think he could have AA-QQ, what are his likely holdings. I really think the flop check is bad too...you cant do that because you have no idea where you are in the hand right now. The reraise PF...I dont like, because the pot is already big,...Matt Flynn wrote a really good thing about pot control a while ago, might want to check it out. That way, flat call his raise, and bet the flop big.
