This is very read dependent

This is not all that read-dependant. Given the way this hand played out, Hero should call the river.

Why not bet/fold the river? It seems like a good place for a block/value bet.

A lot of people are saying block bet.

I hate this idea at times. First of all, he may min. raise me if he has a hand. Even if you're "blocking" the river, it's pretty tough to fold with those odds.

As well, blocking bets by their nature look just weak. I really don't think I'm ahead of a whole lot here and I'm surprised more people don't agree.

By checking to him on the river, the villain can bet a wide variety of hands. However, if you bet half the pot and he reraises you, you can fold the hand b/c in that case you are beat. The way it played out, I think you have to call river bet.

Is the Villain really going to bet a wide variety of hands on *this* board? Only if he's crazy...
