Default Stars 45K Guarantee hand - insta call or insta fold?

We were about 220 left at this point. I have been short stacked forever, getting HORRIBLE CARDS! Combined with a fairly agressive table and I have been really hamstrung. Prior to this hand, I just stole the BB when in the SB, then two hands later this comes up.

Is this an insta call or insta fold?

Insta-fold. Odds aren't good enough to call here when you are at least a 2-1 dog, possibly 4-1. Fold and wait for a better situation.

this is a good reason why you dont raise with crap when you have a low M, and why your raises should just initially be the all in.

I think its an instant fold PF. I don't like stealing with a quarter of my stack when I am sitting with just over 10 BBs.

Granted the BBs range here is huge and you very likely have live cards and flush and straight possiblities.

If you want'ed to play 57s for all your chips you should've just pushed them all in PF.

The right answer from this spot is fold. The righter answer was to not try the steal with crap and a small M in the first place unless you push.

That being said, a major weakness I have on nights like those is a lack of discipline. I often (too often) find myself doing the same thing. Then I cuss my cards, cuss myself, make the call and go make myself a milkshake. I drink far too many milkshakes.

Thanks for the input. I have to admit I am surprised by all the votes to fold. By my math the pot was giving me about 2.5 to 1 on my call for my last 8500. Assuming that I am against an unpaired hand of over cards, I am only a 2 to 1 dog. Against split hands (one over one under, eg. A2o) I am only a 3 to 2 dog, right? Of course, against an over pair I am a 4 to 1 dog, correct?

All of that said, and given that I fubarred this by not open pushing, wouldn't that make a call correct, given the villian's huge range?

to be getting the odds you state (2.5:1) the pot would need to contain 21,250. this is not the case.

before any action starts with the blinds at 1200 (not sure of the ante amount so i am approximating), their is approximately 2400 in the pot. You added 3600 to that to make it 6000. BB raised you (allin,he already had 1200 in)for another 8,851 (also calling your 2400 chip raise), this adds 11,251 chips to pot. pot is now 17,251. aproximately 1.95:1 --- roughly 2:1.
