Steve Dannenman is the happy drunk who's one of the lesser players in your regular Friday night game. To expect him to suddenly be Howard Lederer is erroneous and stupid. And this isn't directed at anyone, btw.

I got this from a close personal friend of Joes and I'm not sure of the specific details or whether this hand was captured by ESPN.
According to the source this hand took place with about 30 players left in the tournament. Unsure about the specifics like stack sizes and blinds but anyway.
Joe picks up AA and makes a standard raise from middle position one player flat calls(not sure of his position)
flop rag,9,10.
Hachem bets out, opponent raises, Hachem reraises, opponent moves all in. I believe at this point Hachem has about half his stack in the middle.
Hachem gets up walk around and takes about 5 minutes, then eventually folds. Opponent shows pocket nines for the set.

Sorry about the lack of detail.
Pretty big laydown I reckon

That's one sick laydown! Joe must have read HOH the night before, there's an exact same example where you pick up pocket rockets and Villian re-raises all-in with what turns out to be a set of nines.

From the accounts I've heard, the only time Dannenmann drank during the tournament was once he got pretty short-stacked on Day Six (the day they were playing from 200 to 50 or so).

Why would he show him the set there? Don't give the man anything!

It sounds like Dannermann is a complete dumbass (albeit a nice guy.) He basically does everything possible to convince Hachem that he has a lock and isn't possibly bluffing, and then confirms it by showing him his hand.

And it isn't that big of a laydown, I'd bet 80% of the Mid/High NL players on our forum would make it.
