Default Question for those who already played in WSOP this year

what is the seating like for the rail? my wife will be there w/ me during the ME, and she'll be 6-7 months pregnant by then. i know she's going to want to sit most of the time. will she be restricted to a certain area? or will it be like most casinos where she can pull a chair near the table?

or do i need to hope for a table next to the rail?

thanks for the info guys!

unless you are by the rail i don't think the tournament staff will let a sweater sit behind you. at the beginning there are so many people walking around that noone would notice if she stood behind you for a while but that was curtailed rather quickly by the floor. Good luck.

Chairs are few and far between, especially in the early stages when they are all taken by actual players. As the field whittles down, however, I am sure she will find someplace she can sit, but she most likely won't be able to see much of what is going on at your particular table.
Best of luck in Vegas and congrats on your impending newborn!

I wouldn't count on it. The tables are separated into groups. I.e., there are aisles going through them where people can stand. But this is maybe 3 main aisles. Other than those and by the walls, there's no real railbirding. Someone just watching in between tables will pretty obvious.

As most people pointed out, unless you are near the rail, she won't be able to see you much. As the tournament progresses they move the tables near the rail, so the longer you're in the more likely she can see you. That said, it could be hard for her to sit down in the aisles -- unless you're at one of the tables near the end (adjacent to the TV studio table) where I believe it would be easier to sit in a chair to watch. Just give her some money to play craps or go shopping!
