An interesting hand in a GIGANTIC pot
I was playing in one of the softest 10/20 games I've ever seen, B/M.
The game is extremely loose, mildly aggressive preflop, and mostly passive postflop. The lineup is 11 handed and consists of 5 regulars who are on a first name basis with each other and the floor people, and 5 'newer' players, and me. My image is TAG to those who are paying attention, and most of them are behind me. Average to the flop is 6-9 for the last 4 hours, raise or not, and the garbage that is being shown down is worthy of a play money game. There is one other skilled player in the game. On to the hand: I am UTG and pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and call. 2 folds, 1 raise, 6 callers, and I call. 8 to the flop: (16 sb) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, planning to c/r the field for another million bets. Checked to the PF raiser who bets. 2 folds, everyone else calls, I raise, all call. 6 to the turn (14BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) I check, original raiser bets, first caller raises (None of the regulars are still in the hand), second caller calls, I 3 bet, raiser caps, first caller agonizes and claims that he's mucking a straight, second caller starts swearing and says if a straight can't be good, then he has to muck his set. They both fold. I call. HU on the River (24BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) Hero bets... What do you guys think? Did I play this well? |

Re: An interesting hand in a GIGANTIC pot
I didn't think raising preflop was prudent as it wasn't going to narrow the field.
Folding preflop seems much too tight for this game. This is an any 2 crowd and especially an any A crowd. I wasn't playing ATo though in EP all night. |

Re: An interesting hand in a GIGANTIC pot
By the way,
After I bet the river, villain raised and I called. Villain showed me JT for a rivered FH and MHING. Is this river an autobet like I think it is? |
